today she got some more exams done, an appointment with a surgeon and a date for surgery for next week, tomorrow she will get another exam and then travel back to her city to come back on tuesday, thank you so much for all the support, it really means the world to be able to cover these expenses

I'm assuming that contortion is necessary to make his syrinx make the whippoorwill noise; it's a bit funny that my whistle was, initially, an attempt to imitate a call much closer to the one he's making imitating me in turn.

It's hard to hear him whistling back, but every time he tucks his beak down and bobs a bit, he's doing a two-note whistle. It's just really cool to be able to talk to something truly alien - to try and connect with a mind, across a gulf of evolution 330,000,000 years wide. To share, and connect.
