At the shop the shopkeeper is sorting the papers out. I ask whereThe Sunday Lad is, and she says he worked such long hours yesterday he’s got the day off. I imagine him asleep, dreaming of snipping endless bundles of papers.

My teenage children, who have never set foot in NYC, go around saying "Help me, Mamdani!" whenever anything goes wrong and/or they can't figure out their homework, just to give everybody a sense of the scale of this man's presence in the culture lol
