"Never meet your heroes" As a phrase, all it really means is someone you looked up to disappointed you on a fundamental level If you, the "hero", take that as an affront? That someone who looks up to you might some day be disappointed? Then it should be clear why they'd want to have never met you

Plenty of people have said "never meet your heroes" about me, and my friends And it's a little weird - especially just the idea that any of us are "heroes" to anyone - but I always understand that it comes from a place of disagreement. Not attack. So people who take it as one? Super thin skin tbh.
