I recorded SAI with good old OBS window capture, so nothing pops up overlaid if I switch accidentally. Resolution/bitrate/fps do not need to be high w/ static picture. But yeah, the need for "not forgetting pressing record" is real. Wonder if Steams game capture would work if added non-steam app.

Checked. Steam doesn't record anything that doesn't support Steam overlay. Don't have PS to check so YMMV. Solution still not ideal even if it works, as you still would need to cut and speed up the video in external editor as well.
