NYC is going to put $500k into making pet food available at food pantries. Almost 25% of pet owners have considered rehoming a pet bc of costs. 12% of pet owners have. Sheltering/policing ownerless pets is MORE expensive than making it possible to keep them. This is cute politics and good policy.

today my OBGYN’s office called me and asked if i had “transferred care” to another doctor and i said “no, why?” and the office person said “oh, i just see that you canceled all of your upcoming appointments” and after a pause i replied “…because i had a miscarriage.” 🫠
