Show Post[so the proposition would be like "Mint chocolate chip ice cream is disgusting to Elmo."] On relativistic views, it expresses one proposition, but whether that proposition is true or false depends on who's evaluating it. You evaluate it as true (maybe?), my wife evaluates it as false.
Show Postthere's a lot here, as you'd expect, and I haven't looked at this stuff nigh on twenty years, but: on views where the parameter depends on context of utterance, the proposition the expressed varies with context of utterance. Like "I am sitting" expresses different propositions if I say it or you do.
Show Postboth taste ascriptions like "mint chocolate chip ice cream is disgusting" and descriptive claims about the future have spurred a pretty big literature, sometimes with the idea that there is a hidden parameter; which may be supplied by the context of utterance or context of evaluation
