The question isn’t whether those players and teams were great. Or whether they played great football. The question is can you honestly say those teams could have been formed without the £900m+ of fraud? If not then those players, as harsh as it may seem, should be stripped of their medals.

I’ve seen Thierry’s comments about City and their players and while he’s right that those players he listed off were tremendous players, I also think it’s absolutely right to say “ahh, but did you actually win those trophies?” about those players. Bc that *group* only came together due to cheating.

Was Kompany a great player? De Bruyne? Aguero? Absolutely. But lots of great players never win anything bc the team around them isn’t good enough. And £900m+ of fraudulent finances allows you to assemble a team of great players that you simply couldn’t have come close to without it.
