Humans on the other hand have the will and capabilities to explore and innovate beyond what was previously known. The human will expand their own mind, their own consciousness, to encompass the new knowledge. The machine can only know what has already been discovered by humans.
Show PostThere are a great many business leaders who believe that they can fire humans to replace them with robots. They are dreadfully wrong, no matter how advanced these models become. The knowledge from a LLM is static and dead, a stinking corpse that can go no further.
Show PostThis is really sharp, and appropriate satire. Too many AI boosters are intent on pushing humans out of the living pursuit of humanity. Machine learning is a valuable tool for scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. It is not however a substitute for these humans.
