I tend to know the title before I start writing--or else figure it out early in the process. Sometimes it changes by the time I finish. But not usually.

Sometimes I know the title ahead of time, other times it'll be a line or thought that comes to me while writing.

Definitely. I've got some ideas, but I'm waiting for my wife to do her full editing pass before we start talking about it. She always wants to go into the books cold, so she knows nothing about the story.

I knew the titles for Book One and Two right away. Book 3, had another title but we changed it during editing. Books 4 and 5 were easy since the titles were thematically based. The Rose Book still does not have a title! Help!

“Untitled” all the way. I hate titling things.
