I also think, and maybe this is controversial but it’s just my opinion, it’s ok to just take it on faith that other people are consciousness even as I demand proof that the computer is. I believe this is totally reasonable and normal.

Personally I don’t think it makes sense for the default position in this to be that consciousness, something about which we understand very little, can probably arise in artificial neural networks. Maybe it can! But maybe it can’t!
