PS: I know this from reading Max Boot's bio of Reagan in which he notes that by 1941, Reagan was getting more fan mail than any star at Warner except for Errol Flynn. His Army time actually tanked his movie career. (Unlike John Wayne, who never served at all and made movies during the war.)
