the post ww2 trials were not due process trials by any normal standard, people were prosecuted for laws which did not apply to them as of the time of the actions taken, which is not due process! the point of nuremberg was to go “these rules are the bedrock of everything”, but they were inventions

the postwar german order punished nazis under laws which had never been contemplated to apply to nazis, and the nuremberg trials killed much of the nazi wartime leadership under legal theories which postdated the war.
