Fair point, it’s maybe 8 years since I’ve dined high end in the US, but last year found good quality mid market restaurants serving portions that were too big. Doggy bag culture is not as big in Europe so maybe that’s it.

It’s really not, I buy good quality food and cook at home with a menu that is laid out on Saturday that is for the week. Seven days, buy what you need and save the drama of eating out.
