Trust & Safety is (as @charlottewillner.bsky.social likes to say) all about "tradeoffs & sadness." In the vast majority of cases, the decisions you hate are not nefarious. In some cases the MAY be, which also sucks. But until we know more, don't jump to conclusions or "easy" solutions.

And the idea that they should have been specifically watching that account to avoid this is just not realistic OR to the extent it is, would open them up to another story claiming they gave this political account "special treatment" to "exempt" it from the rules...
