Left school at 15. Went to work, family of 8 siblings. Earned $21.74 before tax. $18/wk was taken home pay gave mom $10 kept $8 for me. Worked from 1974 (21yo) as a prison officer. Retired 2007 rank of Asst Supt - Security manager. Western Australian.
