Publicists, editors, writers: When querying an author for a book blurb, DO NOT offer a suggested blurb for the queried author to "use or adapt." One, authors actually do know how to write. Two, you are saying, unintentionally or otherwise, "I don't care about your opinion, I just need your name."

I went with son’s Cantonese partner, Donna, and her mother who was visiting Australia at the time. Another time we went to a different restaurant and again Donna ordered for us… in Cantonese. Best Chinese food ever.

In my experience if an eatery identifies as being of a certain culture, if most of the customers are from that group then it’s a good eatery. A few years ago I went to what is supposed to be the best Yum Cha place in Melbourne. I wouldn’t say the whites in our group were ONLY ones there but maybe.
