I'm tired of people speedrunning the end of their careers. The more they brag to leadership how much can be done without reading the code, the more leadership will believe that no one has to read it. Even if verification isn't nearly there, and they're just on a lucky streak before it breaks down.
Show PostIt was weekend code and felt too sloppy to push. Your aliasing write up was super helpful btw! I love what react compiler can do. I recently joined vercel on turbopack and have been try to push for us to invest more in it. I'd love to hear any ideas you had that didn't make it in yet.
Show PostI spent some time playing with React Compiler to implement some optimizations. It was amazing how much performance I could gain. Makes me really want to spend more time in the frontend compiler space. So much potential performance left on the table. jimmyhmiller.com/what-does-th...
Show PostNext.js 16.4 • Cache Components by default in new apps • Static output guarantees and more control over prefetching • Agent-guided upgrades and feedback • 20–25% smaller Turbopack disk cache • Faster development and smaller bundles nextjs.org/blog/next-16-4
