What Che was saying is essentially what a lot of Americans say: “I don’t pay attention to politics.” That I think is the biggest problem with American democracy. A lot of Americans don’t care what policies their government implements until it directly negatively impacts them.

I always have mixed feelings about these images. Yes, it's inspiring to see these college students committed to democracy, but the fact that they have to do anything remotely difficult to exercise their voting rights is enraging. Taking part in a democracy should be as easy as possible.

I just heard Michael Che on MSNOW talking about politics. He says that both parties are essentially the same. He says left and right are for politicians and not for citizens. Our job as citizens is to ask for better healthcare and better jobs. I just realized this guy is kinda stupid.
