Now out in PNAS. We show that AI detection failure rates vary and are platform-specific. Agents without knowledge of the tests were caught every time, while sophisticated agents with knowledge of the tests could evade detection only at nearly 3x the time and 6x the cost. www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

Finishing up 11 days in China (PKU in Beijing and Hainan U in Sanya. The scale of progress since my last visit 7 years ago just boggles the mind. The investment in science in one week exceeds 🇨🇦’s annual national investment. And the “slow” intercity trains run x3 faster than VIA. 90% EVs on the road.
