Good Afternoon Womble. I'm finishing Babylon Berlin by Volker Kutscher and I started Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe's Fury and the third novel in the excellent historical series Cesare Aldo by D.V. Bishop, Ritual of Fire. Still progressing, slowly, through Fred Anderson's Crucible of War.

I borrowed that from the library recently and loved it so much I think I need to buy my own copy. It's such an interesting idea and the writing is gorgeous

I'm still banging thru Pride and Prejudice. It's been over a month now. It isn't that I can't get into the book -- quite the opposite -- but I'm naturally a slow reader and I can hardly find time lately, what with all the writing, the lawn work, and the monster movie watching.🙂

Afternoon, Womble! Hope you're good! Today I'm hoping to sneak in another Horror read before October ends: a reprint of the Hammer Horror Omnibus, which is a blast from the past for me. 4 Hammer movies novelised, and rather good they are too, if 'of their time' (1950's & 60's). Great cover, too!
