I learned something kinda profound at a grief circle tonight: You need to get to hope *through* grief. Like you need to dive into that hot mess and come out the other side to find hope that holds loss. Otherwise it's false hope, a hope in service of emotional denial or distance.

I thought I'd be fighting the left after this election. Turns out instead I'm forced to agree with them on a fuck ton of issues. Not happy about it, but it is what it is. Our leadership has fundamentally failed. They are capitulating. Anyone refusing to see this has their head buried in the sand.
