About 20 pages at the beginning. It's a military story about dragon riders in the modern age. I had a lot more basic training staples in there. It didn't add much to the narrative as a whole, so it got cut.

Both. My main character frequently laments being on display and feeling like she has to perform for her people, but even in the background, we see similar leaders idolized or villianized. This carries over into the realm's history.
