Personally, the only Irish band I've showered with absolute undiluted scorn and derision is U2. Always have and always will and will happily ignore any scorn that heads my way because of it. Other than that, the Irish music scene is in a very healthy state. (IMHO😁)

Agreed, Irish music is way better now than it was when I was a kid, or even when I was in my twenties.
