While I'm sure that is a variable in all of that; I do know they sanitize language and normalize corporate control and corporate speak.

I think a lot of people are just so used to the idea that free speech isn't a right anymore that they've accepted they must speak through a veneer of soft parody or obfuscation to even be *allowed* to voice opinions without being suppressed, blocked, or open to litigation. It's a prerequisite now.

i know as far as the reverse: teachers in my life have said their kids titter about classmates using normal words (ie grape)

A criticism I've seen is that, on a site like this, those euphemisms also get around people's muted words. And these people usually have these specific words muted because the concepts behind the words are triggering when unprepared.
