Show PostI straight up had not heard that first demo until tonight, that grunge-hop sound is so crazy and I wish they had kept some of that grit A Nu England band would have *never,* and would have fit right in with Godsmack, Staind, etc - it’s crazy to think about how local culture influences these things
Show PostI’m late because of IRL Shenanigans, but damn, @odstsamowens.bsky.social killed it with this piece. He starts with the early days, pre-Chester Bennington, when the band was a backpack rap and AIC-worshipping outfit called Xero, and takes us on a ~5-year journey through the album’s runaway success.
