All the tens of thousands of people mutually agreeing to lie to each other so they can feel good and validated will simply mutually agree that you’re a pedantic idiot for asking them to stop, and maybe call you a bigot or something for good measure, and nothing will improve. Hard to not stop caring.

i've found that a lot of AI skeptics are shockingly out of touch regarding the capabilities of chatbots. It's concerning; critics should be the *most* well-versed regarding what chatbots can do, but they seem often to be more invested in thinking bots are dumb than in knowing what bots can do
