Thank you for writing about emotional durability, that helped me figure a few things out. A couple of years ago I declared to my husband that I had officially entered my “pearls phase” and that’s helped me a lot to choose everything from flannel shirts to shoes and it’s been such a relief

For me, menopause has been an improvement. Sure, there are issues, but they’re much more manageable than the nearly 10 years of hormonal chaos that was perimenopause. I even stopped getting serious migraines, which is some compensation for the loss of muscle mass.

The main problem to me (and lots of women) is size change as we go through pregnancies, menopause and hormones oscillations. I've had beautiful items which I loved but that didn't fit any more and were discarded and replaced (not enough room to keep them all!)
