The ban on kids sports really bothers me. Being part of a team can be a confidence boost and help kids fit in. No child should be denied that
Show PostIt shouldn't even be that provocative to say kids should allow to play sports in whichever group they feel more comfortable in, like I don't even care if a cis boy feels safer playing on the girls team, why not let that happen if they're not being a jerk
Show PostNow let me let you in on a little secret: This is why the best plan is to let people figure out what facilities they belong in, then enforce the rules or laws about appropriate behavior equally.
Show PostAnd the spectrum continues from there. Some people pass 99 percent of the time. Some pass 90 percent. Some pass 60 percent. And ofc some cis people are mistakenly clocked as trans people. The more passing is policed, the more cis people get clocked mistakenly. It's a spectrum, and you're on it too.
Show PostSee, because the reality is that whatever you believe is true about sex and gender, cis passing is definitely on a spectrum. For example, as I said, I pass well enough to go through a police patdown with no hint that I might not be a biological man - but I couldn't pass a strip search.
