I've always felt that trans men are, in at least some senses, more troubling to conservative ideas abt gender than trans women are. If you truly believe women are inferior, then a person born and raised to be a woman shouldn't be able to live as a man. Their inferiority should make it impossible.

I think there's a lot of fear in anti-trans people. Not necessarily fear that they are trans, but fear that the rigid gender categories that our lives are organized by aren't natural and immutable, that the sexes aren't as different from each other as we're led to believe.

Like literally the current establishment line seems to be that a 24 year old is old enough to have children but not old enough to make decisions about their fertility. Old enough to sign up for the army and get maimed for king and country but not old enough to make lasting choices about their body.

The constant infantilalisation of young trans people is so fucking absurd. These are adults you are talking about Helen. They can vote, they can drive, they can work a full time job, have kids and a mortgage.

Black women have always been central to building this country, even when their labor and contributions were overlooked. In 1881, Black washerwomen in Atlanta organized a strike that grew to 3,000 workers, demanding better wages and respect for their labor. #History #Labor #USPolitics
