An overlooked reason many liberals feel fine with rank bigotry is because they still surround themselves with Republican friends and family even as those "loved ones" became open Nazis over the last decade. You can't possibly imagine a better world while you happily wallow in the worst of this one.

Endless examples of rape and violence by cis men: gov do nothing. Cis domestic abusers break the law by marching in political uniforms and carrying out arson attacks, assaults on the police and threatening life-saving services: nothing. Trans women exist: "We must protect people from them!"
