My state job in public health is also at risk in SC and I told my MaGA father that. Everytime we talk he says, “See you haven’t lost your job.” Telling him we laid off 65 other people already makes no difference. Infuriating.

I had literally just finished telling my mom about how the Republican governor of my state was directly threatening my wife’s job and she said “Well I think he is doing a great job.” I have not spoken to her in over a year, but she was already on thin ice.
