it is 'funny' that the question of 'why does everybody feel different about the economy than the way these graphs should indicate' never seems to account for 'a pandemic exposing thousands of people to our ramshackle and hyper expensive healthcare system AND killing many partners, roommates, etc'

One thing I’ve been noticing about the institutionally transphobic, fascist-enabling NYT is that when there’s a big story demonstrating fascism (like the Texas A&M debacle), they take a few days to talk about it, but when they want to endanger trans lives (like the Kirk shitshow) they jump right in.
