had almost this exact experience at the first fine dining place i worked. second shift the manager who trained me day 1 had been fired and there was a brand new manager in his place and the wheels just kept on turning

Having enough confidence in the future and things working out to even plan for anything more than like a year or two in advance is insane to me. I haven't even HAD anything go that horribly sideways for me and it stresses me out just to imagine banking anything on a 5 year plan
