Thank you all for loving the guy I loved. Those of you who loved him, at least, which seems to be a lot of people based on how today has gone. And don't worry. I've got a lot of people who love me and will help me get through this. A lot of people who loved us. Because we were a damn good team.

I am highly, highly skeptical of the power of social media to do any good. But one true benefit is seeing the tributes when a beloved person who has touched many lives dies. Apart from the recognition, it’s a reminder to us all to aspire to leave that kind of legacy.

Some folks have reached out about wanting to make a donation in Steve's name somewhere, and I think the best possible thing you could do in his memory is drive the GOP into the dustbin of history by beating them up and down the ballot. He reposted this thread recently, so maybe start here.
