It was very moving to read this story on the train into London this morning. I got off at Charing Cross, walked across Trafalgar Square and down Whitehall to Parliament. Exactly as the suffragettes did 118 years ago. No Cenotaph back then, but otherwise little has changed.

This is rather cool. Shared with me by Gil Cividanes who writes "The photo taken in front of a [Francoist] Spanish grocery on West 14th Street, NYC in about 1937.
