It's possible that the links to petitions I've seen are all the same petition, but it doesn't matter to me who it is, especially if I don't personally know their work. I don't think such campaigns help their intended cause.
Show PostAny account. Twitter sucks because the new idiot in charge is rampaging through and altering basic functionality, but I didn't come here, as others apparently did, in hopes of reviving the glory days of the mindless "cancel" mobs.
Show PostBut I don't care who it is or what they're saying. I genuinely feel like deplatform campaigns in general do not work to their intended end, they build a destructive social culture, and we're better off leaving the blocking to ourselves (and reporting TOS violations).
Show PostI understand wanting to do what you can to try to impose some type of punitive action against malicious idiots, but I feel that deplatforming campaigns are counterproductive, they draw attention to the target, and they give the target a false Free Speech defender high ground.
Show PostNo, I will not sign any petitions to attempt to get Blue Sky to ban an account that I can just as easily block, and I think this general paranoia expressed toward the prospect of seeing a disagreeable post is unhealthy and counter-productive.
