I think the screenshotted poster is actually referring to SPD as the moderates who wouldn't compromise with the far left. Though I wouldn't be shocked if they also think that SPD, Zentrum, and Hindenburg were all liberals.

Yes, but I think it's much fairer to call them moderates than either the SPD or the Hindenburg/Papen/Schleicher/DNVP clique.

The Catholic Centre Party, who really probably should be viewed as moderates in the context of Weimar politics, did not cover themselves in glory in their reaction to the rise of Nazism, especially after Brüning's fall.
