It's a tough one for me, there's one sort-of antagonist wanting Cole to slow down, but no other antagonist outside of his past and needing to battle it Just need to work in the antagonist revealed at the end of the second act and I should raise the tension enough 🤞

for me the antagonist raises the stakes by making things personal for the hero rather than just being a physical threat. once they figure out exactly what the hero cares about, they can start taking those things away or putting them at risk, which makes every decision feel difficult
