My mother was born in 1938 so aged 1-6 through the war years. She died last year aged 87. She had no real memories of the war, just the post war years. 87!! How many people are left who actually have proper experience of the war years?

Absolutely agree. My Dad served in the RN from 1940 onwards. He would have absolutely hated this kind of shit.

It’s a fact that the majority of people who actually remember the war voted remain. Many of their children remember the war through The Dambusters and other films.
