Show PostChicago, 2011. More than 2,000 people march through the Loop and try to encamp in Grant Park as part of occupy Chicago. 175 arrests.
Show PostChicago, 2003. Thousands and thousands shut down DLSD to protest the Iraq war. Nearly 900 people were mass arrested, including random bystanders. I was in a kettle for an hour or two but managed to get out safely. Dozens of my friends didn't. Several were injured.
