I finished the final Hap & Leonard novel. It was bittersweet and I thought I was okay with it but @joerlansdale.bsky.social 's Author's Note made me cry. We don't really know the authors whose work we love but after 40 years or so they can start to feel like family. Much love to the Lansdales.
