Most of Brixton’s issues (at least when BTP last did a major enforcement push) are “out of area”, they come because it is a terminus. The new businesses really do make a big difference in that every new business in KX pays something on their lease that explicitly goes to the devcorp.

Yeah - I’m not indifferent to the occasional annoyances of “security in part of my neighbourhood is partly overseen by a shadowy private security force whose bosses have no real accountability”, but…equally I prefer it to “the state has stepped back and nobody has stepped in”.

Lived in Brixton for almost 20 years. I’ve never known it to be this bad. Literally have to walk around people doing crack on my way to the tube. They don’t even hide it.

It certainly feels pretty busy from a couple of hours before Rush Hour till 1-2AM - what seems like hundreds of people milling about at any point anyway
