It's worth saying, that you and I can say what we like about the US Govt, because there are zero, political or economic repurcussions, but the UK Govt cannot openly say the same as us. It's a harsh reality

There is still no easy path to sustained growth, there are things that can help (hello removing UK-EU barriers...), but we are mature, ageing democracies with complex / costly societal support schemes in various ways which have delivered us to this point

The challenge for the UK and France will be using their veto to block this, because it will heighten the debate about whether either of them should still be UNSC members. By tradition, they almost never use their veto these days, and def not against the US, but Orban as UNSG is intolerable.
