October 22 is the worst day. 25 years ago today we lost Mom. The glue of our family. Our moral compass. She was everything. She was the smartest, funniest, cleverest, kindest, toughest, most hard working, determined woman I ever knew. She was the best person I ever knew. I miss her every day. 💔

Hoaxes regarding "immigrants" among Japanese social media users are fueling not only policy debates but also hate speech. I feel a sense of shame and frustration seeing people like that so casually directing discriminatory behavior toward foreigners. Inexperienced as I am, that is what I think.
