and, frankly, in my experience the people who have gone into it in the most gung-ho way are the least strong devs. that’s not to say they’re bad at their jobs — it may be they’re better at a higher level architectural view than they are at being in the trenches, but still.

there are plenty of very experienced devs who have tried this stuff, seen it in their workplaces, etc, and who have *strong* reservations about it, from all sorts of perspectives. it’s a misrepresentation to imply it’s taken over the industry.

there’s this uninterrogated idea that producing reams of code nobody can realistically review or take collective ownership of is good/inevitable. it’s a ticking bomb imo.
