“it is likely most other workers will have to live and work in the UK for 10 years before being eligible for permanent settlement” I know this is all about making the spreadsheet look better, but you could also do that by encouraging people to apply for citizenship (not ILR) after 2.5 years.

Any sane system would be trying to encourage migrants into getting citizenship, rather than making them wait longer to do that and/or pushing them to leave after a sustained period working (and paying tax, becoming part of communities, having kids, etc etc)

last time I was at this coffee shop I accidentally tipped 20 instead of 2 on a 6 buck order and they're treating me like I'm the co owner here or something, even my family isn't ever this nice to me
