Coming right out and saying that OpenAI's vision of the future is one in which they own all computers and you rent computing from them... or at least, you rent time and power doing whatever Sam Altman thinks you should be allowed to do. This is an authoritarian worldview that must be annihilated.

In 2021, I sued the State of Illinois. I was sick of being misgendered and deadnamed by judges. I was sick of judges ordering me to present as male in their courtrooms. I was sick of judges demanding I show them my genitals. I was sick of clerks calling cases by my deadname and outing me in court.

The number of openly trans attorneys in Illinois increased exponentially. Judges received mandatory bias training. And Pritzker and Raoul, who came out full throatedly in support of trans rights, cruised to reelection in 2022. I voted for them both.

It's beside the point but I hate screens that are menus. Show me all the things you are willing to sell me, tell me what they are, and don't play little animations that hide things or switch from one set of offerings to another. Menus were a solved problem that technology has been used to unsolve.
