Hoppe has been a major influence on contemporary white nationalist movements, & his "Property and Freedom Society" has been a meeting spot for such movements. He offers "libertarian" rationales for a politics of exclusion, hierarchy, & imposed homogeneity. Matt's piece is well worth reading.

A leather bar is a covenant community too, with codes, protocols, and gatekeepers. But its genius was letting strangers in, not keeping them out. Zwolinski says each libertarian must decide what liberty is for. Hoppe's answer is a walled village. Mine is a crowded bar of people never meant to meet.
Show PostI ask that question from inside the leather community. Homosexuals are on Hoppe's list of people a libertarian order must physically remove. My classical liberalism and my subculture grew up side by side, and both taught me the same lesson: strangers can build trust without sharing blood or creed.
