US parties are big tents, maybe encompassing several European parties. Fazio might have opposed MAGA, but would have forfeited that vote and nomination. I didn’t vote for Trump, left the GOP after Jan 6 and won’t vote for Fazio, a much easier decision if you are not knocking on doors for 2 years.
