The MiSTer setup for taking screenshots is pretty terrible, requiring a 2-3 key combo on a keyboard, with no gamepad shortcuts. So I ended up buying a little 2 button macro pad to capture screens, which is working great with my Super Station One.

Yeah I feel that, there's definitely been plenty of reasons to look elsewhere for a while but other engines have been lacking for me. Godot is a good option but way too many workflow limitations and PR merges are slow & frustrating. If another FOSS engine looks promising, I'll def check it out 😅

But unfortunately I don't know if anything else could ever reach the popularity & financial support that Godot has. I've got my eye on a few but they're still too early in development to have some features I'm looking for. Unity is still the "least bad" option for me and probably will be for a while
